Mission and Core Values

what is amare global

When you access the Amare Global website, you are immediately greeted with its mission statement. This is evidently a very professional outfit and it makes that clear from the outset.

Amare claims to create a holistic mental wellness platform that connects a purpose-driven community of passionate people. Its core values are love, integrity, innovation, service, humility, vision and leading the global mental wellness revolution.

This sets the scene for a professional company set up with the purpose of serving and caring for others.

The History of Amare

Amare was set up by Hiep Tran, who according to the Amare website, was a successful businessman who found fulfillment in helping people believe in themselves and experience their own definition of success.

Because Amare Global concepts are attractive to most people, it’s no wonder it seems to be taking the Internet by storm.

Gut-Brain Axis

The Amare website draws attention to the importance of the gut-brain axis. This involves biochemical signaling that takes place between the gastrointestinal tract (GI tract) and the central nervous system (CNS).

what is amare global

Sure enough, any search amongst current medical research papers show that these days science, medicine and psychology are all being shaped by the gut-brain axis and how it is impacting our medical health.

The Science Behind the Gut-Brain Axis

If you  ever experience that “butterflies in your stomach” feeling when you are nervous, some scientists are suggesting that you are likely getting signals from your second brain.

The second brain is in your gut, hidden within the walls of your digestive system. This idea of a second brain is having an enormous impact on modern medicine and shaping a new understanding of the links between digestion, health, your mood and even the way you think.

brain centers

Scientists are calling this second brain the enteric nervous system (ENS). The ENS consist of two thin layers of more than 100 million nerve cells which line your gastrointestinal tract from the esophagus to the rectum.

What Does Your Second Brain Control?

Unlike your main brain, the ENS can’t think for you. Its main job is to control your digestion. It is in charge of everything from swallowing to releasing the enzymes that break down your food, it operates the blood flow which helps with everything from nutrient absorption to elimination.

The enteric nervous system communicates with our big brain.

stomach

Many scientists thing that the ENS can trigger the enormous emotional turmoil which is experienced by people coping with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other bowel issues such as constipation, diarrhea, pain, bloating and generalized stomach upset.

For many decades, researchers and doctors thought that anxiety and depression contributed to these bowel problems. However, it now seems much more likely that it may also be the other way around.

Researchers are finding evidence that problems with the gastrointestinal system sends signals to the central nervous system (CNS), which in turn triggers mood changes.

what is amare global

These new findings draw a link between depression, anxiety and IBS. It does seem to be the case that a higher-than-normal percentage of people with IBS and functional bowel problems develop depression and anxiety.

Given these new scientific findings which have been widely publicized, it seems credible that the Amare products have been designed to address the scientific findings. However, it is important to note that the science surrounding the ENS and its impact on the brain is still very much in its infancy.

what is amare global

Scientists do not yet understand why the ENS has an impact on the brain, so it is very unlikely that there is a product out there that can really improve the relationship between the gut and the brain.

The Amare products have won awards, are well marketed and have been developed by scientists.

Can improving the health of our gut, help us improve our mental health and wellbeing?

Amare Fundamentals Pack

The Amare flagship product is their fundamentals pack. The product was designed by scientists to help rebalance the gut.

The pack consists of three cornerstone products: MentaBiotics™ (for the gut), MentaFocus™ (for the brain) and MentaSync™ (for the axis), which are specifically designed to support optimal mental wellness.

what is amare global

This flagship gut-brain axis nutrition system, the Amare FundaMentals Pack, even won the 2018 Nutri Award for Best New Finished Product.

After reading all this, I am almost signing up immediately to order my fundamentals pack, which incidentally doesn’t come cheap.

Scientific Research

Amare Global has their own Scientific Advisory Board which gives the company further credibility.

laboratory worker

It consists of proven leaders in mental wellness, psychology, neuroimmunology, gut-brain axis, photobiology, Chinese medicine, health, and nutrition, and is headed up by Dr. Shawn Talbott.

Dr Shawn Talbott

A look on Dr Talbott’s linkedin page is impressive.

Shawn has a seemingly consistent track record of creating leading nutrition products and new platforms that help people look and feel their best.

As a product developer, Dr. Talbott has created and researched some of the leading nutritional products on the market. He has generated nearly $1 billion in combined sales across retail, direct-selling, infomercial, and network marketing channels.

Talbott gained considerable fame with his development and marketing of cortislim and cortistress in 2003.

girl with question

Here was a scientific breakthrough about stress, cortisol and their effects on weight gain. CortiSlim’s promoters also made the claim that elevated cortisol levels are the underlying cause of every modern lifestyle disease.

CortiSlim was claimed to be a wonder drug that would lower and control cortisol levels and result in weight loss.

Weight just meriting away, sound too good to be true? It was! Talbott and his team claimed the effectiveness of this drug had been proven as a result of over fifteen years of scientific research.

Except this was lies. Talbott was charged by the FTC in 2005 and found guilty.

Why would a reputable company with honest intentions employ someone who lacks credibility as a scientist?

The gut-brain axis is a medical term that is used to describe any system involving gut bacteria. Whilst there has been a significant amount of research carried out regarding gut bacteria and linking it to a wide range of conditions, this is science in its infancy and there has been no firm conclusions drawn as yet.

Can Amare Global products improve the relationship between gut and brain?

stomach

Amare builds on the theory that depression and other mood disorders are related to gut flora. The Amare Global products are marketed as improving your gut flora and thus improving your overall mood.

The problem is none of this has been scientifically proven, and the studies that have been done delivered inconclusive results.

So, having all this in mind it is safe to say that Amare is not a wholesome company that you want to invest in, be involved with or buy products from.

Are There Benefits to Selling or Using the Products?

If you decide to go ahead and sell Amare Global's products you will notice they are presented well, they are not harmful and you will find almost no bad reviews or complaints.

question mark

So you might find them marketable and be able to sell it to others. However, these products don't work as promised.

None of this has been scientifically proven, and the studies that have been done delivered inconclusive results. Amare Products are based on pseudoscience, not real science.

The “science” behind the Amare products is mainly just myths and personal beliefs. It is presented in a believable way, but health claims from the company should be taken as ideas, rather than facts.

What is Amare Global’s Multi Level Marketing Business Model?

In recent times, Multi Level Marketing companies (MLMs) have been heavily criticized and are often associated with pyramid schemes, which make it almost impossible to be successful, unless of course you are at the top of the, dare I say, pyramid.

pyramid scheme

Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_scheme

Amare Global’s compensation plan allows people to register as Wellness Partners and earn money from both selling the products and team-bonuses.

First, to register as an Amare Global partner, there is an enrollment fee of $69.95. This would earn you the right to get commissions every time you get sales.

amare partner

When you become a partner, you can buy Amare products at wholesale prices, you can then use the products yourself or markup and resell to customers. Amare suggests a markup of 25% but you can set your own selling price, you then earn, as commission, the difference between wholesale and retail price.

Partners are also entitled to earn bonuses on the sale of products. Bonuses are based on Personal Volume value of each product.

personal volume amare

You earn additional commissions on your customers purchases. In other words, the more frequently your customers purchase, the more bonus you will earn.

Heart Start Bonus - when you sign up a new customer or partner, the Heart Start Bonus will reward you with bonuses during the new recruits first 60 days.

commission

It is paid weekly to your first, second, and third level upline enrollers. The first upline receives 20%. Meanwhile, the second upline gets 10%, and the third 5%.

When you sign up three people to your team, you earn $135 bonus. You can earn an additional $250 when your own three people manage to sign up three more partners or customers each.

earning potential

As you move up the ranks, you will earn higher commissions. You can increase your rank by selling products and enrolling customers.

However, moving up the ranks quickly in this type of compensation plan is almost impossible. You would need to recruit 90% of your community and have them recruit 90% from other communities until you grow big enough to be eligible for the elite bonuses. Overall, it is a hassle.

commission levels

Very few people see success with this type of compensation plan. There are many easier, more straightforward ways to earn a living in business.

In order to be successful with Amare Globals, you will need to work extremely hard at recruiting other people to become partners. They reward growth over sales, there is very little support or training given to sell the products.

As a result, you'll be more inclined to recruit others simply because that strategy is highly compensated if successful.

This is another reason why it’s best not to get involved with Amare or any Multi Level Marketing business.

What is Amare Global and Why do the Pitfalls of MLM Businesses Model Discredit it?

Many entrepreneurs these days will urge you to join their Multi-Level Marketing (MLM). Amare Global is an example of one of these companies.

They are appealing, of that there is no doubt, they promise an opportunity to "get rich quick" and in many ways it seems like a much easier way of building a business and wealth than by using a traditional business model.

greedy face

However, the reality is, that very few people make much of a success working as an MLM entrepreneur.

True entrepreneurship is about creating something new and innovative, whereas an MLM is using a formula on a usually over-priced existing product, using a pyramiding business model, which rewards recruitment over success of the product.

Of course there are successful MLM companies, who have a positive image, such as Avon and Mary Kay, but more often the MLM businesses are built around an investment scheme. Very few people have positive things to say about MLM companies.

what is amare global

Pyramiding is an illegal business model. MLM companies are at pains to point out that they do not operate pyramid schemes.

What’s the difference? In short, a company which requires their members to recruit more members, more than selling the product.

So, if the primary source of income for its members is based on the number of members they have recruited instead of the products they have sold over time, a company is classed as a pyramid scheme.

attention sign

With MLM companies, the difference is difficult to define, they stay close to the edge of the law. They have a product and promote the product, but often their business model does focus heavily on the recruitment of new partners, calling it growing the business.

Amare charges a $69.95 fee to get started. If their business model is really from selling products, then up-front fees should be unnecessary and are inappropriate.

welness partner

Of course, Amare Global provide you with products included in the starter pack, so perhaps you could argue that this is what you are paying for.

MLM companies often promise the opportunity to make a lot of money without working hard. It is not possible for everyone who joins a business to be able to make so much money without working.

Making money takes work, so some people will make a lot of money and some won’t, chances are that you will be in the category of people putting in a lot of work and not earning all that much.

recrutiment

MLM companies offer the opportunity to make a lot of money from recruiting. If they would rather have you recruit another distributor than a new customer, then it is not the quality of their products that are driving the company.

A company that is filled up with people but no products is still just a group of people, not a thriving company.

If the Amare products were really good, why would they adopt this business model? If the product was revolutionary, would they not market it in shops?

Is Amare Global a Scam?

No, I wouldn't say that. I also do not think that Amare Global products are bad. They are not dangerous, but I don’t believe that they can possible do what they suggest.

If they could really redress the balance of the gut to improve mental wellbeing would they use an MLM method of marketing? I think not.

what is amare global

I am also intrigued as to why a reputable company would recruit a discredited scientist to head up their scientific development team.

Unfortunately Amare Global is just another example of a company which has been developed to make their leaders rich. This is not a medically developed product that can improve your mental health and well-being, avoid at all costs.

I have never heard of amare global not until I read this article and I understood every bit of it. The features are really convincing and I think $69 is not too expensive but the most suprising part of it is that you didn’t recommend It definitely I won’t be going for what you didn’t recommend. I must commend you for taking your time to share this information.

    • Strahinja says:

Thank you for your comment. I really appreciate it.

The price is not that much, but it is only starters fee. I do not recommend because it is MLM company, its shady and the quality is not there.

      Strahinja.

  • @iwilliamsjr says:

Thanks for the write up on this company. Just confirms my initial gut feeling (no pun intended – well, maybe). Anytime I see health products wrapped up in MLM as the deliver method I cringe. Credibility in this arena is crucial for success. Who want’s to be known for supporting something that doesn’t work? You definitely provided enough background and history for me to feel comfortable enough to make a decision that is informed. The viewpoint and criticism is fair and balanced and that adds weight to your thoughts. Thanks again.

    • Strahinja says:

Haha. Thank you for your comment.

I tried showcasing enough evidence for anyone interested in this company. Hopefully I succeeded in that.

      Thank you.

  • Paul says:

    Dear Strahinja,

After having some bad experiences with the few MLM companies I tried, if I come across any MLM companies I will do some research before making my decision. We all know its not the best way to make our decision just by reading the sales page or website of the product or company.

While doing some research I came across your helpful and informative review post. I got great insights and your review is very helpful in my decision making. The detailed and thorough information you shared on Gut-Brain Axis and enteric nervous system is an eye-opener.

The information and fact about pyramid schemes you shared is TRUE. After reading your review I realized this is one among the products which under-delivers and Amare Global is a NO NO for me.

Thanks a lot for saving my time, effort and money.

    Paul

  • EddieSand says:

Strahinja, you’ve done a great job with this article. I appreciate your transparancy about the Amare Global. I liked one section of your post, about the doctor in the medical board. I wouldn’t do business with a company who hires a doctor with a history of lying. Not a good start for Amare Global. My experience with MLM supplements company is that they all want to have a niche in the market but only a very small percentage of them stay true to their cause of healthy living. Thanks for the review.

  • abdft17 says:

It was very mind-blowing to know how does brain control almost the whole body of us. During my high school, precisely biology class what I have experienced is, the right part of the brain controls the left side of the body and vice versa is it true? and I did not know these details, about how the main and second brain differ from each other, so, anything that happens inside our digestive system the second brain is responsible for that?

    • Strahinja says:

Hello and thank you for your comment.

Officially, this is not yet confirmed by the science. This part of medicine is still in development, but there is definitely corellation with our body and our mind. This also goes for the quality of our food.

      Strahinja

  • Kat says:

I can see why it might have been tempting to get involved, until you did your research and realised the details of the company and that the gut-brain axis is still in its infancy. It is very interesting to see that the company has a discredited scientist to help them create the product. Making it less reputable.

There is growing research into the gut-brain connections and how it can support how our brains to produce the required neurotransmitters, however this company seems to be a few steps ahead of even the research, which seems to be more focuses on making profits than science based. I think this is a valuable review for anyone considering joining this system. I’m not a fan of MLM either. Thanks for sharing 🙂

    • Strahinja says:

      Exaclty Kat.

It is too early to give conclusions about this part of science yet.

      Thank you for commenting.

      Strahinja.

  • Fred says:

MLM and shady health products seem to go hand-in-hand. They are everywhere promising quick money for the participants and prey on people with health issues.
Anyone promising get-rich-quick schemes is deceiving people desperate for money.
Thanks for bringing this company to light. You have done an excellent job.
    Fred

  • Kate says:

I could really relate to the part where you said “These new findings draw a link between depression, anxiety and IBS. It does seem to be the case that a higher-than-normal percentage of people with IBS and functional bowel problems develop depression and anxiety.” I am so glad that you took the time to go into great detail on all of this, it really informed me of much I did not know.

    • Strahinja says:

Thank you for the comment Kate. I did my best of trying to showcase this company, the good and the bad.

They are not a scammers, but still there is not enough evidence to confirm their claims.

      Strahinja.

  • karenlhsu says:

I’m curious to know if there is any studies done on Amare products to determine that they are in fact safe for use? Or is it just that the company says they are safe so you believe that they are not bad? I argue that an MLM selling a product that is not proven to do what the company claims, is in fact a scam.

    • Strahinja says:

Thank you for the comment Karen.

Regarding your question, they had some studies but this field is still very new and no one can tell with certainty if this products really have the mentioned effect.

      Strahinja.

  • Gregg says:

Great article with tons of information and quiet lengthy. The products sold by Amare are very pricey yet people who have mental illness or know a loved one that has it will be willing to pay. After reading the first summary it gave a bad review yet still went on to talk about the company. It made me think twice before purchases products from them.

  • Stefan says:

Hi, I don’t believe that any product made in laboratory can be the solution to the gut. On the contrary. I think human creations can inly destroy our gut so we need to focus on eating what nature has provided. That’s the only way to cure all deseases. I am also not a fan of the MLM model, so advise people to stay away from Amare Global.

    • Strahinja says:

Thank you for the comment Stefan.

I can agree with your point about artificially made products and their effect on human body.

      Strahinja.

  • Lynn says:

This post is really very well analysed and written! I really appreciate posts like this as it can actually prevent those who are really in need of help from being cheated. This is especially important when you mentioned that the website has a professional-looking interface, which can easily mislead people. Most importantly, it can be disastrous if the products do not work as expected. This is because, people with real mental condition might rely on the products 100% and give up legitimate treatment.

    • Strahinja says:

Thank you for the kind words Lynn.

Yes, having a good looking website does not mean their intentions are good.

      Strahinja.

  • Gareth says:

    Hi Strahinja,
I hadn’t come across Amare Global until recently. I’ve been interested in MLM in the past, as I’ve always loved the concept. However you make a good point in your analysis above – a company that focuses on recruiting people over the product indicates a lack of focus on what should be of utmost importance – the product. Your analysis is very in depth and eye-opening. Thanks for helping me understand this in better detail before I got seduced by the concept and promise of profits. Your in depth research also uncovered a VERY questionable appointment of Dr. Talbott – something most people wouldn’t even consider investigating.
    Thanks again for this.
    Best,
    Gareth

    • Strahinja says:

      Thank you for this comment.

I found out controversial information about dr. Talbott and I had to share it with my viewers. They need to know the brain behin this brand. What will they do if up to them.

      Strahinja.

  • Sarah says:

Hi this is a really good article, i’ve never had any good experiences with MLM, found this very informative, hope other people get to read through this if considering joining with this company.

  • suzanne says:

Hi Strahinja and thanks so much for your review.
I was involved with a couple of MLM’s in the past and they were never successful.
They try to get you in by selling you the “Business Opportunity” rather than the products. The products are there to make it legal, haha.
Unfortunately all MLM pyramids are the same. The people at or near the top are making the most money, and the newer members at the bottom have to struggle to make anything.
They all seem to collapse eventually.
I hadn’t heard of this company yet, but thankful to know about in case I’m ever presented with it.
    Cheers,
    Suzanne

    • Strahinja says:

Yes, I agree. Pyramid schemes are not destined for success and plus they are illegal business model. That is why I always recommend affiliate marketing as a far better alternative to MLMs.

  • Asen says:

    Hey there,

That’s a super thorough depiction of all the pros and cons of Amare global.
Today there are so many scams out there and you can’t possibly learn everything about all of them.
I am surprised that it’s not a scam as you say but what they proclaim is a bit excessive and honestly, I can’t believe it. It’s good that you’re confirming it too.

    • Strahinja says:

      Thank you Asen.

I always try to do my best and provide articles that are based on my thorough research.

That is how I created this article as well.

      Strahinja.

  • Nate says:

    Hey Strahinja,

I can see that you’ve gone very in depth in this review. I must admit I’m always very sceptical of MLM business opportunities.

That tends to go doubled when the vertical is supplements. In my experience, they are far more expensive than non MLM competitors and the quality is often questionable.

So that is massive turn off for me, so agree with you that Amare Global isn’t the way to go, to start your own business.

    • Strahinja says:

Hello and thank you for the comment Nate.

I always try to bring as much information as possible for my readers.

I am glad I helped you.

    • Strahinja says:

      Thank you Machele.

I try to voice my honest opinions about certain products so people would not get scammed or give their money for nothing.
